Mr. de Geus graduated from Otago medical school in 1964, following which he was
involved in surgical training at Wellington Hospital for four years and one year in General
Practice in 1969.
In 1970, he completed his surgical degree in General Surgery in England.
Further practice in General Surgery followed by training in Plastic Surgery were carried
out, allowing him to return to New Zealand in 1975 as a fully trained Plastic Surgeon.
Since 1975 Mr. de Geus has been a consultant Plastic Surgeon at Middlemore
Hospital. His speciality during all this time has been in the field of Cleft Lip and Palate
Surgery but a general cover of all Plastic Surgery has been carried out throughout
this time.
Mr. de Geus started his private practice in Takapuna in 1981 and has been in practise
continously since then.
Mr. de Geus' practice covers all aspects of cosmetic surgery, as well as hand surgery and
skin cancer work.
